 Founder: Mollie Volinsky LCSW (She/Her)

Picture
Mollie is an EMDR certified therapist and KAP provider who believes in working with you to tap into your inherent healing abilities. In today’s world, it is too easy to overlook the effects of trauma and get stuck in society's non-stop demands and unreasonable expectations --subsequent stress, depression and anxiety may feel constant. Her goal is to partner with you to support you in both processing and coping with these uncomfortable thoughts and emotions.

For over 10 years, Mollie has been training and working in this field; she believes that experience coupled with a warm and empathic sensibility allows her to provide the kind of care you both want and deserve.
She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a wide array of settings including schools, hospitals and community mental health centers.  As such, she has developed a diverse and rich approach to her psychotherapy practice.

Katherine Cullen LMSW (She/Her)

Katherine is a New York City-based psychotherapist, co-author of  The Truth About Exercise Addiction: Understanding the Dark Side of Thinspiration. and a regular columnist at PsychologyToday.com. She is also a certified yoga teacher.

Katherine began her work in the mental health field by counseling adults and youth experiencing suicidal ideation and struggling with self-harm, many of whom identified as LGBTQ-IA+. For several years she provided case management, crisis intervention, and psychotherapeutic services to adults diagnosed with severe mental illnesses (like schizophrenia). In her present work as a psychotherapist Katherine uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) to help clients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic; improve their communication and conflict resolution skills; navigate challenges at work and in relationships; clarify and assert their boundaries; and discern their personal values and goals.
Katherine has worked with individuals hailing from a variety of spiritual and religious orientations. She is particularly competent in working with individuals who identify with Christianity—including those who are healing from spiritual trauma.

Katherine's therapeutic approach is evidence-based (she utilizes research-backed interventions proven to promote psychological growth and symptom reduction) as well as trauma-informed (she aims to create a safe and validating environment for each client where reactions to triggers are seen not as evidence of inherent pathology but as echoes of past adversity that deserve care and compassion).  Katherine believes strongly in the value of promoting each client's autonomy, voice, and unique strengths. She works with individuals and couples as well as adolescents and adults.  And she welcomes new client inquiries from people at any point in their healing journey.
